Vehicle wrap fitted at our Kilkenny workshop

Vehicle wraps and signage from one Adelaide workshop

Most of the vehicles we wrap belong to people who need them back on the road quickly: plumbers, electricians, builders, cleaners, caterers and anyone else whose van or ute is parked outside a customer's house every day. A wrap turns that vehicle into an ad that's seen at every job, every set of lights and every car park.

We handle everything from simple door lettering to full vinyl wraps and colour changes, on cars, vans, utes, trucks and trailers. We have been making signs in Adelaide since 1974, and that background shows in the design work. A wrap has to be read in a couple of seconds by someone driving past, so we keep the business name and phone number large and keep the clutter off. Private owners come to us for colour changes in gloss, satin or matte.

Every wrap is fitted indoors at our workshop on Gray St, Kilkenny. If you're comparing vehicle wrap services in Adelaide, the sections below explain what we'd recommend for your vehicle and why.

What are you wrapping?

Each vehicle has its own page with real jobs, the options that suit it and how long it's off the road.

  • Car wraps

Full and partial wraps for business cars, plus gloss, matte and satin colour changes for private owners.

  • Van & ute wraps

Logos, phone numbers and full coverage for trade vans and utes, including tray sides and canopies.

  • Truck wraps & signage

Cab doors and box bodies on rigid trucks, laid out so your name reads from the next lane over.

  • Trailer wraps

A trailer parked at a job site or market stall is advertising that costs nothing to run once it's wrapped.

  • Vehicle signage & decals

Cut vinyl lettering and logos when you want the vehicle working for you without paying for a wrap.

Full wrap, partial wrap or decals?

Most people ask us for a full wrap first. For a lot of trade vehicles it's more than they need. This is how we'd decide.

Decals and lettering

Your logo, phone number and website in cut vinyl on the doors and rear. If you run one ute and mainly need people to find your number, start here. It's the cheapest option and the quickest to fit. See vehicle signage and decals.

Partial wrap

Printed vinyl over part of the vehicle, usually the rear half or the sides, blended into the paint. On a white van this gets you most of the impact of a full wrap for much less, because the van's own colour becomes part of the design.

Full wrap

Every painted panel covered. It's worth it when the vehicle colour is part of your brand, when you want a full colour change, or when you'd like the factory paint protected for resale. Our car wrapping page shows the finishes.

You can compare full wraps, partial wraps and decals side by side, or send us photos of the vehicle and we'll tell you what we'd do and why.

How a wrap job runs

  1. Send photos and your logo

A photo of each side and the rear is enough for us to measure from. Vector logo files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) print sharpest.

  2. Approve a design proof

We lay the design over a template of your exact vehicle, so you can see where handles, windows and panel gaps fall before anything is printed.

  3. Drop it at Kilkenny

We'll give you a drop-off and pick-up date when you book. The vehicle is fitted indoors, clean and dry, because dust and moisture under the vinyl cause lifting later.

  4. Drive it away

We'll walk you through washing and care when you collect it. Hand washing and keeping pressure jets away from the edges does most of the work.

Vinyl that copes with an Adelaide summer

Adelaide gets days over 40°C, and a dark panel sitting in the sun runs much hotter than the air around it. Cheaper sign vinyl shrinks back from panel edges in that heat, leaving a strip of paint showing, and the colour fades within a couple of years.

We only fit premium automotive wrap vinyl made for vehicles. It stretches into recesses and around body lines without lifting, and it holds its colour for years on the road. That's the difference between a car vinyl wrap that still looks sharp when you sell the vehicle and one you're paying to remove early.

In business since 1974

We have been making signs for Adelaide businesses since 1974. Over that time, vehicle work has grown into the biggest part of what we do.

Questions we get asked most

How much does a vehicle wrap cost in Adelaide?

It depends on how much of the vehicle is covered, how big the vehicle is and how much design work is involved, so we price every job individually. Send us a photo of the vehicle or call 08 8345 3177 and we'll give you a fixed price.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

It depends mostly on how much sun the vehicle sees and how it's cleaned. The bonnet and roof take the most sun and wear first, so parking under cover and hand washing add years to a wrap.

Will a wrap damage my paint?

Not on factory paint in good condition. Removed within its lifespan, the vinyl peels off and the paint underneath is often in better shape than panels that were left bare. Resprayed panels and chipped clear coat are different, because the vinyl can pull loose paint away. We check the paint before we quote.

Can I put a wrapped vehicle through a car wash?

Touchless car washes are fine and hand washing is better. Brush washes can scratch matte and satin finishes and catch the edges, so skip those.

Is vehicle signage tax deductible?

Signage on a business vehicle is generally treated as an advertising cost. Your accountant can confirm how it applies to you.
